The officers
of Equestrian Promotions, Inc. (Denise Parsons, President/Secretary and Bob
Dobart, Vice-President/Treasurer) have 46 years of cumulative experience
producing successful consumer trade shows. For 27 years, Bob was the owner
and promoter of the Timonium, MD Fishing Expo & Boat Show. Denise, being an
avid multi-discipline equestrian and successful competitor in dog obedience
and field events, made a cold call to Bob and proposed the idea of an all
inclusive Horse Expo. With Denise's more than 25 years of equestrian
experience and Bob's tradeshow operation expertise, it seemed a perfect
recipe for a successful business venture. After a short period of research
and discussion they formed Equestrian Promotions, Inc. and started producing
the MD Horse World Expo in 1997. In 2001, Bob started the Timonium, MD
World of Pets Expo with his business partner, Jeanne Emge, and continued
co-producing that event until selling his share of the business to Jeanne in
2006. In 2002, Equestrian Promotions added what is now one of the largest
horse expos in the USA, the PA Horse World Expo at the Farm Show Complex in
Harrisburg, PA. 2014, they added the National Pet Expo to
their schedule. While a separate and distinct event, the National Pet
Expo is held simultaneously with the PA Horse World Expo. Since many horse owners and horse lovers
are also pet lovers, the promoters believe this arrangement is a
significant benefit to both shows.
